Why Grenache when you can Cinsault? Charming, fresh and suffused with mineral cut. So reliable.

Just a very nice, very simple, very pretty rose. To sip it is to love it, and to drink it is to crush it.

Cinsault. Really clunky nose, initially, wait for it to blow. Smoky grapefruit and an almost candied marshmallow thing for the kiddies, then smooth to the abrupt finish. A summer quaffer, white flowers, and broccoli rabe. Salad fare, for your dwindling youth. Won't cut you, bruise you or even make you pucker.

A delicate peony pink visage with a nose of fresh strawberries and crushed gravel that transition into a crisp and dry palate with a strawberry and white cranberry flavour profile. A lovely diversion on a snowy winter night.

I had this with my wife's meatloaf. Pairing of the year 2016. Bonus points for the Siracha.

This was the first bottle of wine I ever purchased in a restaurant. It was a Mediterranean joint in SoHo that after a certain hour turned in to a hookah bar & legit nightclub. Pairing-wise, this actually paired fairly well with all the garlic, olive & herb-centric food. It was 2006, there is a photo of me dancing on a table with a bottle of this in my hand & all things considered, I'm pretty stoked that this is how I started my adventure in wine!
