Fresh with lifted lemon. Seashells, white flowers. Not powerful but very balanced and approachable. Good.

Incredibly fresh for its age, linear, gun flint, lemon curd, lots of minerals, wild honey.

Yellow gold. Heavy in the glass. Rich nose. Notes of white flowers, apricot, pineapple, river rocks, white spice, earth and a little vanilla. Palate coating in the mouth. Acidity in the background, fruit up front. Long finish. Really good, but had that something missing to call it great.

Light and bright. Noticeable matchstick at the front then lovely floral notes.

Broad white flowers and lime on the nose. A hint of apples (premox on the horizon?) but a broad complex palate that’s quite developed. Lacks a little of the puligny definition you’d want but fun right now. Given the appley notes I’d check in with this soon or it could be another sad example of Leflaive’s descent into premox. A good wine right now.

Between light and medium gold, nice weight, viscous. Crazy nose that evolved over 4 hrs of air. Notes of apricot, hazelnut, spice, lemon, gravel and a little blood orange. Glycerol in the mouth with outstanding balance. This is still on the upslope. When you hit one of these, ...

Medium gold color. Heavy in the glass. Huge perfume in the nose. Notes of apricot, petrol, lemon, wet river stone and white chalky dirt. Grand Cru impact. Great acidity develops with air that creates an amazing balance of fruit and structure with a lasting impression. Leflaive hit it out of the park in 99 and it shows tonight. .
