Canary gold. Young and vibrant. Petrol-infused nose. Lots of lemon, wet stone, spice and white flower. Lots of acidity present. A bit of match stick. Good stuff.

Taken to Bottega. Light straw gold. Mineral nose. Notes of wet stone, apricot, cantaloupe and some chemical thing like sulfur. Acidity is powerful. Rounded our with air. Great wine although the sulfur like note was a little distracting.

Medium gold. Bright in the glass. Strong nose. Notes of apricot, petrol, pineapple and river stone. Razor sharp almost painful acidity in the mouth, even after a few hours of air. Chewy and big finish. This needs more time.

Been too scared for the past year to open this and discover it was premoxed but was instead delicious. Asian pair, citrus, cinnamon and acidity with a medium core. Faded over four hours but was just so good and still thinking about this 2004.

From mag. Didn’t kick in to gear and get to the next level for me. Solid, not spectacular.

Initial sulfur on the nose that took 30min to blow off. Very youthful with crisp citrus and white orchard fruit. Great mineral component too.

Love the '04 Blancs, haven't had so much pleasure from younger Leflaive's, but this has all the hallmarks of classic aged Leflaive, showing a touch of reduction, one of the reasons why it's still so drinkable.

'04 and razor-fresh. Not a hint on premox. Smells AMAZING: fresh popcorn, pear skin, shaving cream, mint, and cinnamon, mushroom, golden apple purée, powdery earth, honeysuckle and lily. Doing the fruity and savory like only white burg can. The palate leaves a little to be desired texturally (I blame the vintage), as it's a little pale and skinnier than I want it to be, but at least the acid keeps you smacking your lips. Really makes you wish there was more older white burgundy that wasn't screwed up.

Holding onto a ton of sulphur. I find this to be common for this producer in this vintage.
