This wine is dry, has a pale yellow tint and smells like lemons, flowers and just a hint of oak. It is a beautiful bouquet. The palate shows more citrus along with peaches and nectarines. There is a bit of orange zest on the finish, which is rather lengthy. The acidity is as fresh as you need for mussels or other shellfish. I used it in a mushroom broth - like you would make for mussels, but without them - and my wife raved about it.

Jean-Claude Pichot’s family is one of the oldest in Vouvray, with origins dating back to 1739. 100% Chenin Blanc, with aromas of fresh tropical fruits, blossom and honey nuts. On the palate peach, pineapple and melon with lime citrus, vivid acidity, good balance with a touch of sweetness on the medium finish. Nice! Consistent quality.

Simple and linear. Lacks depth, mouthfeel and complexity.

Off dry, pretty viscous and weighty vintage.

Pale yellow, green tinge, excellent clarity. Neutral nose, slight citrus aroma. Lemon Pez and tropical fruit flavors, dry to off dry, tart lime finish. Rounded mouthfeel, thicker body. Moderate skin astringency is the only flaw, arguably. Otherwise nice with food or as an aperitif.

Nicely accompanied some good spicy rabbit and flat rice noodles and clementine chicken at Palmar in Miami. This chenin is suitably off-dry for spicy asian. The juiciness of the tree fruit is a great compliment. Initially the acid seemed a little low but then grew to a good level. Nice wine.

A touch too low on the acid but otherwise pleasant. More New Zealand Sauv Blanc-like than Loire Chenin. Bright tropical fruits and hay aromas.

Classic Vouvray - very slightly off -dry and excellent match for gently spiced Indian food. Pear, quince, acacia, a hint of peach on the nose. Crisp acidity, medium body, refreshing and a very good value
