Nose is a combo of lovely sweaty earthiness, a hint of butter and incredible minerality. Some wild mint and also baking spices. Terrific complexity. Palate is so focused and so rich yet racy as racy can be with exhilarating acid and minerality. Bousey is just so good. Quiet guy and goes about his business and never fails to impress. Long finish that gets to every nook and cranny. So juicy and teeming with energy and endless depth. Fruit is so focused and oak treatment is masterful. Almost a 9.5.

Aug 9th, 2024Super aromatic, spicey and floral. deep and sinewy. Love the feral and wild quality here. Super fresh and and acidic. Lovely depth and juiciness, sappy and pure. 10 years old vines. Wonderful.

Jul 12th, 2023Complex nose, spicey oak, green apple, gorgeous minerality, terrific spice, amazing deep minerality and a stunning expansiveness. Really wonderful white burgundy symphony on the nose. Just unreal. What a nose. Tree bark, dry soil. Just stunning. Wow. Juicy, energetic, luscious, fresh, vital, elegant, complex. Wow. What a wine. Just gorgeous. Maybe best Monthelie Blanc I’ve ever had from Boussey. Explosive and wonderful. Spicey as well. A brilliant bottle. Finish is epic.

Hint of wood and gobs of apple and pear fruit accented by gorgeous minerality. Juicy and so refined. Dazzling purity and freshness. Terrific depth. Brilliant wine.

Jul 28th, 2020@Delectable Wine this is same vineyard except it’s Chardonnay. I love this wine. And I love this site. Nose is complex, buttery and rich with intense minerality. Smells like Meursault. Awesome minerality. So rocky and also earthy. Palate is dense, juicy and so explosive. So pure and juicy with tiny berry fruit intensity. Finishes mineral and very sappy. So good. Long. Needs an hour to integrate. But another 2018 winner. Such freshness and purity.
