Becoming one of my favorite bottlings at Cruchandeau. Nose is very ebullient and expressive. Gorgeous red cherry that is so clearly defined and amazing licorice aromas. Spice and sumptuous aromatic depth. 9.4 - 9.5. nose. Palate is teeming with energy and depth. Amazingly juicy, deep and textured. Longer than it should be and so so pure. Just stunning. Silky tannins. Wow this is long and so well made.

Oct 19th, 2023I finally get to taste this new bottling from Julien. What a great wine. Nose is darker cherries, florals and lovely earth notes. Really expressive and stunning florals. Light violets but so intense. Palate is full of fruit that is high toned and dark with tremendous structure, sap and purity. Really linear and compact. Sappy finish and just wonderful freshness. Long finish. So so good and drinkable. Will age very well due to the acid spine and structure but really good today.

Nose : elegant cherry lipstick.
Palate : so clean. Perfect early season cherries. Mineral. So well made.
Super young. Has the stuffing to be great.
As this opens the density comes out but the structure and balance is still there. Extraordinarily well made.
Finish is amazing. Elegant at cherry licorice. Wow. On a pure wine making basis this is a 9.5. It could get there on a taste basis. Let’s see.
