Oak and whole-bunch aromatics. Clearly lots of material packed into the wine, perhaps even opulent. Good density and tannins. Lovely salinity on palate. Still very young and admittedly not the easiest drink at the moment, but you can certainly see the potential. Possibly another decade before it hits its stride.

Really pretty and held up well with air. Silky and delicate. Fruit almost entirely resolved. Moss or mushroom. Really impressive balance. Would love to drink more old Burgundy but I just can’t afford it.

2011 vintage. More feminine than I would expect for Pommard. Very approachable and definitely in a great place at the moment. Kinda earthy and minerally and all that good funky stuff burgundy is supposed to be. Very pleasantly surprised by the 2011 vintage of late. Comments welcome. Love to get more perspective
