If Gamay and Syrah had a love child it would be Persan. Violets and white pepper with slightly earthy notes make this wine very food friendly and adaptable. Fun!

If you taste a Persan and don't post it to Delectable did it happen?

This is beautiful. Jasmine tea and rose-petal tinged soft red fruit nose with red meat, rose hip and pomegranate on the palate. Light, sensuous and lingering.

If I didn't know what it was, I would have called it a Syrah. Dark cherry and blueberry, black pepper, with a bit of funk and asphalt (in the best possible way!). Great acidity on finish.

Lush dark fruit nose. Beautiful velvety mouthfeel. Starts out dark cherries. Teeth-rattling acidity carries it to oranges.

Funky! Cherry, blackberry a little tight. Needs a good cheese

Huge fan of almost everything grown in Savoie. First time tasting Persan. Bigger and bolder then Mondeuse which is a favorite varietal. Red and black fruit with some hefty black pepper. Pretty tannic but so delicious.

Very nice kick of acid at the end -- perfect pairing for a nice steak.
