The 2003 Blanchot pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, this is developing and all about the minerals with crushed seashell and chalk taking the lead over some verbana and a creamy lemon leesy thing. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory, leesy and mineral laden. A special wine that needs air to really come alive. Drink now with patience and through 2033.

Light gold. Very poised with some secondary notes of corn, jasmine, a whiff of honey. Some lime and cool stone with salinity. Very rounded and delicious. Calm and detailed. Excellent

Medium gold, nice weight in the glass. Sweet nose. Notes of citrus, white flowers, sweet apricot, some stone. Lots of acidity in the mouth. This was flamboyant and the most attractive of the 3 Raveneau's tonight.

Taken to Canoe House at the Mauna Lani on the Big Island. Awesome aged Raveneau nose. Rich and heavy in the mouth. Notes of citrus, apricot, sea shells, white clay and tan spice. In the zone. Shared a glass with our server/somm. When the bill came, “we have a strict corkage policy but it’s waived when it’s Raveneau “. Ha!

Epic but even at 10 years this is way too young. Only starting to strut its stuff. Needs another 5-10 easily.

Oy vey. This is in great shape. Limpid lemon oil, oyster shells. Soft lime. Very supple and open. Secondary notes but still freshness and lovely acidity. This is pretty spectacular. More Clos-like than Valmur.

Whew! With a sad 04 MdT the other day I had to check in on another vineyard to see if the issue wasn’t something more broad that year. From the same mixed case this has heavy weight and is barely medium gold, with more of a canary color in the glass. Great fruit forward nose. Notes of lemon, white acacia flowers, wet stones, honeysuckle, tan spice, a hint of grapefruit and some cut citrus fruit. Great weight. Some pucker on the finish. This is in a good spot but has more years of enjoyment in front of it.

Generous and delicious, quite broad. Another great bottle which felt young for its age.
