Took a while to do it’s thing but when it did it was awesome. In a great place now but I’d be intrigued to see what happens in another 5 or so years. Yum

Yikes. A bit too much of everything for me.

I will surely regret opening this young, luckily I have more bottles going into storage.

Fresh cherry, rose petals and nose of voilets with velvet smooth finish, but so much potential. We'll revisit the bottle tomorrow as assuredly it needs lots of air time to see a fuller experience at its current vintage stage.

Dense and brooding with a Chateauneuf meets Burgundy feel. Powerful and lovely - 1978 1er Cru

Wide open, a bit funky but almost lush, with sweet fruit and spice. Firm tannins on a supple frame. Don't imagine this closing down. This is starkly similar to a number of good Cali/Oregon PN's. Could easily be Peay or Rhys.

gorgeous Chambolle fruit. So clean and focused with pretty berry fruit. Soft tannins. Just a joy to drink.

A wine that I have had many times that has been consistent with my prior posts. Notes of black cherry, raspberry, earth, mineral, savory spice & violet. No rush as there is structure & tannins with good acidity that will allow you to cellar for many years.
