Sour fruits, cranberries. Real energy and pop. Fine, fruity and transparent: the essence of AOC Beaujolais. Shows how great these wines can be in the hands of a grower confident enough to get out of the way. #chermette #beaujolais #gamay

Basic Beaujolais from Pierre Chermette but never disappoints! Juicy to jammy cranberry and red cherries. Funk and mineral notes... Bright acidity, integrated tannin. Medium body. Higher extraction than usual — the California like 2015...

Really riding the line here between easy drinking and serious. Ripe and grapey fruit aromas of cherry and cranberry meet dank earth. 100 year old vines contribute concentration and structure. Paired with a fat seared pork chop and roasted vegetables. Saving a third of the bottle for tomorrow to see how this develops. I’d love the opportunity to try this again in a few years.

Earthy, dark wild berries, almost blody, yet approachable and easy to drink.

Day 2 for this wine and there's brooding fruit but ultimately light on the palate. Wish it was a bit more rounded but would gladly pick up another bottle.
