Feb 16th, 2018Brilliant magenta. Aromas of fresh cherry and blueberry are complemented by suggestions of violet, licorice and spicecake. Stains the palate with appealingly sweet, spice-accented dark fruit and floral pastille flavors that smoothly meld concentration and vivacity. Shows excellent clarity and mineral lift on the subtly tannic finish, which leaves notes of bitter cherry and five-spice powder behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, March 2018)

1 person found it helpfulMar 21st, 2018Les Trois Roches 2012 brings the terroir of Moulin-à-Vent to the forefront in a lovely wine, purple at its core with a little brick color around the edge of the glass. The nose is explosive with cassis and blueberry, in a perfumed earth framework. The palate has dark fruit and pomegranate flavors, deep and luxurious. Great mineral notes and a bracing acidity again display the region’s strong suits, and firm tannins allow for the wine to take a seat at any dinner table. It finishes with a slight tartness of black raspberry.

Dec 6th, 2015Magnums! This is the king for a reason with great concentration and balance. Great ageing potential but drinking exceptionally well now -- tea, hoisin, dried herbs and crushed rock. Brilliant example!
