Dependable and fun Bojo. Granite and lots of tangy berry fruit.

Very light and thin. Tart, dry and sour. Hints of cherry and cassis. Interesting nose, but ultimately not enough to make it great. For 16.95 at LAWC, I can find other wines I like better for this price. Quality dropped on 2nd night.

A clear, light garnet with a wide rim and ruby red undertones. Very floral on the nose initially, leading to moist earth and mineralogy. This is such an old school, classic Cru Beaujolais. Bold, yet smooth and firm but inviting. Not overly complex, but it doesn’t have to be. An abundance of funk slaps you in the face immediately and doesn’t let up for a while. Gripping acidity and more than adequate tannins all wrapped up in a cute little package. Strawberries show on the palate first with rhubarb and blueberries playing along. That earthy character takes the main stage here and it is beautiful. Some customary Côte de Brouilly minerality is on display, as well. This is a pretty and elegant Beaujolais but it isn’t delicate. It’s just right.

Well balanced and light to medium body with some tannins to counter bright acidity. I get cedar, warm cooking spices, and roasted pepper, fresh (not canned/sauced) cranberry. Taste lingers some, nicely.

Really nice, nose of some cherry and spice, savory and soft tannins balanced with acid. Light bodied and lingers a bit but not too long. Did I mention I like this one?!

Quite a nice Beaujolais from an appellation I quite like. Medium red in the glass, lots of cherry on the nose. Light bodied - could actually use a bit more. But a nice pairing and a solid wine for sure.
