Wine pours a deep ruby color with a nearly opaque core, medium+ viscosity. Some slight sediment in the glass. Medium- intensity initially. After about 30 minutes of air, however, the bouquet really starts to open. Notes of dark cherry, plum, cigar box and espresso. Really bright and beautiful fruit. On the pallet, confirm the mixed fruit set with brambles, dark cherry, plum. Quite primary but also very easy to enjoy. Medium+ tannin, medium acid. A long delicious and immensely satisfying finish. The high ABV (15%+) is well hidden. The 2016 vintage is truly flattering.

Cherry, raspberry, wet earth, lavender, and iron. Pretty good, yet not my favorite CdP.

Continuing on the French expedition; this is divine! First sip was luxurious, silky and deep.
