Gorgeous wine. Nose is tropical and granite driven. 16 is so good for white rhone. Floral and very high toned. Terrific. Palate is rich, ripe and laser focused with an icing on the cake texture and granite driven tropical richness on the finish. Long, winding finish. Also some yellow and white flowers. A brilliant bottle. Let’s see what air brings.

Air has brought crazy florals that are confectionary and the nose is now a 9.7. Wow. What a huge difference air has made. The nose is layered and precise. Palate perfectly bisects elegant and rich. Tangy, citrus jelly finish. Stunning. 9.6 now from 9.5.

After 1 hour in a decanter this was stunning. Rich and opulent with wonderful freshness from good acidity but more from stunning minerality.Out so no formal notes. Incredible depth and complexity.

Wow. Very good wine.

Nose is pleasantly tropical. Almost tropical flowers.

Palate is So dense it’s almost thick. Rich. But balanced. Delicious finish.

Serious old vine Marsanne here, microscopic production (60 cases) and I personally drank and/or sold probably 10%!This is on the downslope w/fading tropical fruit, but now secondary layers are pretty sexy w/roasted hazelnuts, butterscotch, dulce de leche mingled w/elements like miso broth & savory. Huge unctuous fat oily & very broad across palate. Need to drink these up!

@delectable Hermitage blanc Holy mother of god. This is insane. The depth and concentration is world class. As good as any wine in the world. Deep deep deep deep deep. Just hazelnuts and tropical fruits and acid and mineral Insane. Buy as much as you can find.
