Most tannic red burg I've ever had. Wouldn't have guessed it as Pinot blind. Interesting.

Bretty, sour, crummy. What a dumb wine.

Thoroughly unimpressed, this falls on the mediocre side of the 2007's.

Five single-vineyard CA Pinots vs 5 Burgs: Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanee + three 1er Crus Beaunes. All 2005s. Rob Jensen, owner, and Sue Ryan, lead wine educator at Testarossa joined our group for the tasting. Last place for the group, seemed to have bret (NR)

Classic red fruits - raspberry and cherry - pretty and high toned. Soil, forest floor, wet leaves, mushrooms dominate. Nice tannic grip and high toned acids. Great.
