Rose Rock Eola - Amity Hills Chardonnay

Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and tropical fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes, aged 10 months in 15% new French oak, from a cooler climate. On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Drink well now. Pair this with some pan sautéed halibut with a Beurre Blanc sauce.

Over ripe lemon, almond oil, crushed shells and citrus acidity.

Lovely restraint and silkiness. Melon, white peach, quince and toasted nut flavors. Oak very well integrated and the acid is lively and refreshing.

Rich, toasty, oak, valinlla puddding, malo evident. Orchard and Tropical fruit. Quite good, though not my usual jam. Worth the money, but not a great value. Was much more impressed with the Pinot.

Pear, quince, honeysuckle, and tropical fruit. Round and fresh in the palate with slight oak influence but retaining crisp acidity.

Melon fruit dominant; very elegant.

Apple,melon, and vanilla on the palate. Nice and clean and bright. February 2024.

Good Chardonnay especially after open for a long time. Some nice vanilla notes and green apple, but not worth its high price.

A surprise for us, having not tasted it at Domaine Drouhin. Able to stand up to the better Willamette chardonnay and worth getting again.
