2017 -Vintage - always find these dependable earthy , wild fruit , a certain stoniness , baking spice a good example of a Cru medium acidity 5 years probably needs more time

Ruby color with a translucent core. Medium viscosity. On the nose, medium+ intensity with a mix of dark and red fruit, underbrush, stone, anise, some VA. On the palate, dark tart cherries…almost Campari-like. With time, the tannins begin to build. Medium + acid. Long finish. Diochon is one of those Beaujolais producers that flies under the radar. Definitely needs time. I expect this will be even more lovely in 5-10 years. Hold or drink with patience.

Deep and bright fruit, rustic while having fresh carbonic fruit, earth, funk and wet leaves. Nice backbone of acidity.

Right up to my Brett limit but some pretty fruit and carbonique character.

Glorious fruit, robust tannins, fresh acidity. Spicy, bright, intense, smoky, mineral. Everything Moulin-à-Vent should be. Youthful exuberance comes off as a bit raw, but give it time and it will be sublime. It’s hard not to get excited about cru Beaujolais at with kind of price-quality factor.

Significantly better the next day. This wine should age very well. Presented more burgundy than Beaujolais

Not what I look for. Oddly tannic and well structured but lacking fruit and freshness

Juicy. Rustic. Just the thing with roast chicken and chanterelles.
