Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Moulin-à-Vent Gamay

A little more depth and seemingly more traditional. Fruit forward. Needs decanting.

I like this wine at a tasting so I grabbed another bottle for a better look. Dark Ruby with red berry aromas and spicy scents. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors with pepper spice. Nice balance with acidity on a medium finish ending with smoky oak notes. My notes were very consistent. Enjoyable, nice value.

Solid, 3 more years will serve this well

First day was a bit tannic and full of dark fruits, second day, had softened and had really pretty cherry and sassafras notes, with a soft mouth feel. Either day, it's a really pretty wine.

This great example of Beaujolais cru has a beautiful, deep, rich color. Minerals decorate the nuances of the nose, with cherry and black currant taking on earthy notes. The wine feels light in the mouth with a firm tannic structure. Acidity is radiant and it finishes long and luscious.

Brambly raspberry all day. Very good.

Zingy, tart red fruit. A little iron and blood orange in the mix too.

Ok - text book Cru - but the importer up charge is a bit much, might have traded out for a Volnay at this $$

Very Bourgogne rouge-like sensibilities. Delicious wine! Love me some Cru Beaujolais
