Domaine Didier Fornerol
Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir
Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
As always, this wine over-acheives and blows away other red Burgundy from more celebrated appellations. Med ruby. Pronounced, perfumed nose of red berries and cherries turning tertiary. Spice, leather, and sandalwood. The palate is medium bodied, tannins are mildly medium structured. The flavor intensity is perfect, med+ like Burgundy should be with a long, haunting finish.

Pretty wine that is as good as I remembered when 1st being introduced to it at la Paulee. This is beautifully balanced showing lush dark cherry, berry fruit, touch of orange peel, savory spice with floral tones of rose petal & violet.
