Medium ruby,
medium aromas simple red fruit (raspberry, strawberry, redcurrant and cranberry) and hints of spice (pepper, cinnamon)
on the palate dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium body, medium(-) finish

good. the aromas and flavours are all primary and only of tart red fruit, there is little complexity of aromas. On the palate the wine is tart with high acidity and a lack of rich fruit or sweetness to balance that acidity. The finish leaves sensations of acidity and alcohol. The wine seems simple.

The wine is suitable for bottle ageing. acidity+chewy tannins and medium alcohol and medium color good color extraction and therefore maceration of the
#Pinot.

Violets, cherry, underbrush, subtle and elegant with light body and nice acidity. Great Bourgogne.

Violet, juicy. Delicious wine. A bit tannic. Acidic. Smoky. Too early to drink. 2020 @1160, domaine -, 221019-221116

Overall I enjoyed this, but I’m left relatively unimpressed with the Fornerol lineup. This one needed 2 hours in the decanter for sure - at first there was a lot of funky barnyard (I know it’s whole cluster, but what else is on those clusters?). With the air this evens out and while it remains on the darker side, really a pretty nice wine for the price. Perfect pairing with roast chicken and maitake / hen o the woods mushrooms roasted in the chicken jus.

Cherry nose, with fennel and slate. Light and creamy, and dances on the tongue. Smooth tannins and long cherry finish. Very nice for $15!

Very light, fruity finish. It’s okay.

Hints of vanilla and baking spices on the nose. A nice medium bodied wine, not super complex, but very quaffable and easy to drink.
