Vallée de la Bekaa Red Blend

2016 vintage. Bekaa Valley, at 1050 m altitude. Blend of 40% cabernet sauvignon, 40% syrah, 15% cinsault and 5% carignan. Drinking perfectly now. Cherries on spices, smooth but present tannin, balancing acidity and peppery finish. Bring on the grilled Lebanese lamb! Very nice value too at about 13 euro.

45% cabernet sauvignon, 45%syrah and 10% cinsault. Bekaa Valley. Very spicy, with rustic tannin, good with Lebanese kafta.

Crisp and minerally...quite Provençal. Medium-bodied and in its prime now.

Haven't tried a wine from Lebanon in a while. Wonderful aroma of dark red and black fruits. Tobacco. Cedar. Sour plum. Pretty cool 😎.
This 2020 is aging pretty well. Could go longer but drinking well now, a bit unctuous. Thick. Not a super structured or complex palette but it holds it's own with any Mediterranean lamb dish that you would pair it with. Very similar to Napa cabs but with a bit less finesse but with more interesting aromatics.

Cultured Lebanese rouge for tapas

Delicious! field blend I believe, plenty of spicy red fruit on nose and palate, balanced smooth polished - just flat out drinkable. Med weight, decent tannic structure - great value in Bekaa Valley

This is $17 - what? Big, funky and bold

Quite bold and peppery with some tannins.
