Mes P'tits Gars Gamay
Mountain Gamay is perfect for a very Alpine like day in NYC with over a foot of snow. Nose is wild and brambly with with flowers, blackberry fruit and minerals. Lovely earth. Love the wild expressive character of this nose. Palate is bright, juicy and red fruited with mid season cherries that have a nice lasting texture. Really fresh, pure and balanced. Excellent wine. Great concentration. For a rustic mountain Gamay this is executed perfectly.
9.1 to 9.2 as this airs. Rounder and more clearly defined fruit. Delicious.

Super nose that is so alpine. Grass, deep berry fruit, blackberry, mint and spice. Wild flowers. Insane minerals. Insane florals. Pine needles. Resin. So so complex. A knockout nose. Just incredible. I can’t believe how bright and lifted it was. Opulent, incisive and textured. Gorgeous sweet and elegant fruit with very serious texture. A great wine. Really. Terrific concentration. Sappy. The ultimate alpine gamay. Almost a 9.3. So great.

This is an interesting wine but initially surprisingly ungainly. Needs an hour to become what it is. And what It is is lovely.
Nose is freshly cut Grass on a mountain. Full on Julie Andrews in sound of music. The grass and the wild blackberries intermingle so well it’s almost like they are having Coitus.
Day 2 has some lovely mountain pine on the nose.
Palate is more if that fresh grass and wild berry fruit. Silky tanins. Brilliant freshness. Juicy.
This is a red wine that almost should be drunk like a white wine. It will work. And you will be super cool. Bravo for you.
Also a great change of pace for those suffering from ennui. The plague of the leisure class these days. Alas.

Cool Mountain Gamay. Smells like a grab of cold forest floor - a fist full of damp earth, melting snow, and pine needles. Mortar and Pestle of dark red cherries and fresh juniper. Wild, but very pretty, with a soft texture balanced by acid and a little crunch.
