Oct 5th, 2018July's monthly WTF group meet up. Blind tasting with a theme of French wines. Bravo to all those who joined...great wines!
Enjoyed tasting this alongside the Montrachet. Much more citrus and melon notes here. Aromatics were more fruit forward and the finish had more of a bite. Very nice, @Weston Eidson !

Buona Pasqua to all who celebrate.
This light, bright green-gold colored beauty has a mouthwateringly zingy nose of citrus-drenched limestone and a bit of brothy earthiness. So lively and fresh, with medium body and such pure flavors of hay-inflected green apple and cracked stones. Fantastic acidity. Really nice. Great way to get in the mood to grill a butterflied leg of lamb!

At first I thought this was a bit oxidized, but now I think it just needed to seriously open up (like 2hrs). I guess it’s that old? Nose had a whiff of detergent to it for the first hour+ then became much more rounded with a touch of acidity.

Dec 13th, 2020Nose: great balance between primary and secondary fruit.. great nose of melon and citrus.. nice and distinctive minerality. Good spicy due to neutral oak.
Palate: great acidity , dominance of minerality, nice fruit and spices
