Les Lumachelles Côtes du Jura Chardonnay

Nice. Some catty funk. Medium bodied, slightly oxidative.

Fading at this point but still enjoyable.

An absolute electric mineral bomb with slight oxidation (this wine being from Jura, I assume this is intentional). A textural wonderland—there is a very pleasant sensation of wet rocks/mineral complexity to the finish of this wine. Palate was precise with bruised apple, lemon custard, straw, and a bit of eucalyptus on the finish as the wine opened up.

Thin. Watery. Short. Felt like it was on its way out. Seemed as though too much oxygen had gotten to it. Storage issue or just not built to last?

This was completely closed a little more than a year ago. Totally muted. Today it’s singing its Jura typicity with lots of lemon, great concentration, high acidity and deep minerlaity.
