So young...modern, shows extract and richness but I find it to be a great example of this style. Richly fruited, ripe, mouth-coating with its extract and sweet tannin. Underneath its Gigondas originals remain; soaked black cherry fruit, liquor, boysenberry compote, juniper, cinnamon, roasted rocks, meaty and sauvage undertones, truffle. I think this could go 20 years no problem.

Jul 7th, 2015You go to open what you think is just going to be a nice little weekday Rhône but then it surprises you. Dark ruby with a little rust color on the edges. Potpourri all up in your face initially with fragrant herbs showing. After an hour decant, those red berries start to dance a little. Wild strawberries and plums. A little licorice and nice Rhône spice.
100% Grenache from the oft overlooked Gigondas region. You can find some really great values there and this is a great example. Medium bodied and a touch ethereal. Silky but with a sturdy backbone. The palate is fun with boysenberry and cinnamon. Smoked meat and spice. The finish is long and enchanting, really sticks the landing.

Fantastic. For QPR, this winery has to be the best there is in the southern Rhone. Just awesome.

Från vingård som varit i bruk sen 1376. 100% Grenache. 2017 tycks ha en svalare karaktär än svulstiga 16. Fyllig och kryddig. Mycket mörka bär, pastill, viol, örter, bigarråer. Bra grusig mineralitet och silkeslen munkänsla. Torrt avslut med markerad tannin.
