Lovely dark gnarly fruit. Plum and earthy dark fruit. Quite feral and tightly packed but superb savory fruit. This’ll be great in a few years

I am a fan of Mortet's wine and this one out performed the reviews I've seen. Bright fruit and long finish. Wish I had a lot more of these.

The Mortet parcel is located near the de la Tour house at the lower edge of the vineyard. Arnaud has really brought the wines to a new level since taking the reins after his fathers tragic death. The wines are silkier, less extracted and I think more representative of terroir and vintage. This wine was lovely and much brighter and less "earthy" than many Clos Vougeot's I've had. It's still a wine you drink in front of a fire before bedtime but it's fresh and bright nonetheless.

Good thing I have a soft spot for 09!! Very ripe and oaky, in all the right ways. Wish I could fast forward 15 years!!
