The Mortet parcel is located near the de la Tour house at the lower edge of the vineyard. Arnaud has really brought the wines to a new level since taking the reins after his fathers tragic death. The wines are silkier, less extracted and I think more representative of terroir and vintage. This wine was lovely and much brighter and less "earthy" than many Clos Vougeot's I've had. It's still a wine you drink in front of a fire before bedtime but it's fresh and bright nonetheless.

Good thing I have a soft spot for 09!! Very ripe and oaky, in all the right ways. Wish I could fast forward 15 years!!

Nez assez ferme presque brutal fuient mûr et cendré et noir
Bouche attaque vouluptueuse mais rapidement des notes plus dures apparaissent seul l’air du lendemain permettra d ouvrir et d assagir sa puissance
Vin ce jour superbe au nez plus critique sur la bouche car trop puissante a attendre
