Aug 21st, 2024Special wine produced for the first time of 100 pct savagnin. Not an oxidized style but two years in barrel with constant topping up. The wine tastes like stone fruit - apricots and white peaches - with an undertone of hazelnuts with plenty of salt. Extremely rich but clearly outstanding. Only 60 cases made, will be interesting to see how it evolves over time.

You look fantastic wearing only green olive, briny and bright with lemonesque flora and watercress. But oh so much yeasty flor more! Never had anything quite like this!

Jan 4th, 2015Aromas remind me of Champagne, so every time I tasted it, I was expecting bubbles. Aromas of tart apples, Poire William, bread, brine, and minerals with hints of citrus that come out more when wine is chilled. Nice complexity.

Lucky to taste this twice in a month. Racy acidity for 09, balanced with notes of celery, leather and spice. One of my favorite sans soufre wines.
