Vin de Savoie Mondeuse

Such a nice wine for a weeknight dinner. Nose has loads of juicy crunchy plum fruit on the nose, with a whiff of violets. In the mouth, there’s an intense saline minerality, light fruit, and a weightless mouthfeel. There’s a nice bitter note at the end

Dear wine friends KNOW this winemaker and KNOW Savoie but not enough that I can’t get a peppery, fruited but dry sexy intriguing bottle like this for a mere 13 bucks. It starts with fruit n herb then someone cracks fresh pepper over your head and as you listen to the rain pour down you are cooled with the (chill this shit) beverage and heated with the peppery notes and savory THING this wine has that makes you feel like you consumed something with both protein and fat in it which I’m about to do. And listen to the rain and contemplate how life got this decent.

Still intense purple color. Muted vaguely cool climate, syrah like nose. Nicely softened by sojourn in bottle.

Interesting .. slight smell of rubber , smoke. Bright fruit , raspberry , cherry . A little short .

It's fresh with red fruit, loads of minerality, and a hint of herbaceous. Bright acidity and surprising tannic structure make it incredibly friendly. Give it a chill and you've got the perfect cheap summer red.

Subtle yet rewarding. Fresh black fruit, showing some Syrah characteristics initially, faint game and smoke, and Very appealing grandma's purse accords on the finish. All together a fashionable style and for considerably less than comparable Trousseau from Jura.

Peppery bright cherry fruit. Very good.

Saddle leather, Brett, lovely redfruits as well, crisp, fresh and balanced, medium-long finish, very good!
