Domaine de la Rosiére
Jongieux Vin de Savoie Mondeuse
Jacquère, eh? That's one for the @winecenturyclub. Gotta say that I quite like this - nice body & acidity & citrus.

May 3rd, 2015Vintage 2013, a compelling wine with high acidity. From the Jacquere grape.

Oct 21st, 2014Light lemon/lime with nut & gravel undertones. Alpine fresh & white flowers. Delightful for summer.

Jul 29th, 2014Shy nose of freshly crushed red berries. Rather dry and greenish mouth, like many Savoie red wines. Slightly better and a little more open on the second day.

Feb 25th, 2024Light and fresh, even at this late vintage. Lemon, lemon grass, almonds, white pepper, and minerals. Low alcohol and moderate plus acid.

Jun 23rd, 2021Made from jacquère, the colour of this wine is a very pale lemon-green, almost water-like in transparency. On the nose, I'm detecting pears, flowers, and a whiff of wet pavement. On the palate, I taste green apples, lemons, and a certain freshness that's hard to put into words.
Quite enjoyable and suitable for quaffing in spite of the high acidity, but shows best when chilled because there is a discernible amount of alcohol that can otherwise detract from the refreshing qualities of the wine.
