Sea spray, wet gravel, quinine nose. Fresh, super-energetic, savory, mineral palate. Finish is long. 2012 was great at Pepiere. Damn, I love Muscadet!

When we think of summer wines we think of Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Etc. good refreshing white wines. Well I am here to tell you don't forget or over look Melon de Bourgogne grape or we know it as Muscadet. I picked the wine up at Vin Chicago for $11.79. A great price for a nice refreshing white wine from the Loire Valley in France. This wine shows a Pale yellow in color floral notes, fresh fruit with good melon. The palate brings forth pear, apple, and lemon zest. This is a clean fresh, dry with minerality and racy acidity, medium body, medium + finish. A very nice wine to have on a warm summer day.
