It’s a super ripe, juicy, sweet Kirsch and rich. Overdone but still quality and authenticity

Consumed from bottle on day one, then finished the second half on day two. Main difference was a touch more heft in the mid-palate, but not other major changes.

Always a fantastic, and delicious, value. It’s been a year or two since my last bottle and I’d say this one is beginning to enter a peak window. Grenache dominates here (both in makeup and in profile). Underripe strawberries/raspberries, cracked pepper, and herbs de Provence aromatically and a dark floral/garrique flair pops in toward the finish with black tea. Great acidity. Enjoy now or over the next 3-5yrs.

Tart and jammy red plum, raspberry, red cherry, sun kissed blueberry and blackberry. Crushed stones, orange peel, sanguine, licorice, clove, and hints of game. Medium+ acidity, medium+ ripe tannins, elevated alcohol. Long finish. Medium+ concentration and staining of ruby.

Not one of my favorite vintages of Janasse. I felt this was a bit flabby and one dimensional. Just, not very interesting and almost came across a touch, cloying? That being said, there is a lot of quality fruit here and some people while probably love the huge core of red and blue fruits.

Typical nose of licorice. Very powerful, lot of spices and long finish. Great for an “ordinary” chateauneuf.

Brambles, garrigue. Lovely already. 2015 is a vintage to go deep on CdP.

Overwhelmed by the vast selection and needing to choose quickly before the store closed, I went for something I know. To be fair, I didn’t give this much time to open but I still enjoyed it and can see its potential as I’ve had prior vintages that have been great. Medium tannins, medium acid though that seems a bit cloyed by the alcohol. Raisins, raspberries, spices - the typical Grenache profile shines - light and soft on the palate.
