Laid back nose shows deep, dark crushed berries, loads of cracked dark stones, and some iron-ey roasted beef notes. Rich and mouthfilling, it’s got low-toned fruit and rocks and holds its 14.5% under a blanket of flavor. Great value! Unusually, I think I read somewhere that this is Grenache and Carignane only, no Syrah or other Rhône varietals.
