Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir

Smells like a freshly opened pack of dried cranbierries, also a bit like my 10 year old leather jacket. Drinking nicely, bit grippy but not a trace of underripe green or vegetal notes. Awesome

Fresh & vibrant summer berries with a lingering spiciness that adds layers of complexity. The spicy notes really emerge on the nose as it opens up. Structure is more about acid than tannin at the moment and this shows more texture than expected on a village wine. Very nice.

Interesting village wine. Had so much big fruit tasting blind I was nearly convinced it was Morgon or some other cru Beaujolais. Alas I was mistaken.
