Domaine Coche-Dury (J.F. Coche Dury)
Les Perrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay
Unbelievable stuff. Intense lemon and minerality. Bright and lifted. Driving fine acidity and great heft. Dazzling and delicious. Wonderful

Dec 7th, 2024Oy vey. Intense nose with limestone, sweet white floral notes, citrus. Super rich and poised with a thrilling yet subtle acidity. A gorgeous mouthfeel. Ripe but bright and fragrant. Just fantastic stuff. I’m sure this has a way aged but it is popping right now.

May 23rd, 2024limpid yellow fruit. Crazy poise and super pretty. Exquisite balance and focus. Lighter and less showy than I’d have expected but when you lean in it is an exceptional wine

Sep 6th, 2023Yellow gold color. A fruit forward nose that grabs your undivided attention. Notes of apricot, pear, tangerine and wet stone. Big, rich and round in the mouth. With air this develops into an amazing perfume. Killer juice. Lots of acidity and structure which grows over the evening. Some noted the amount of oak that comes out in the finish but that characteristic isn't an issue for me. This bottle was youthful and easily had another 10 years in front of it, unlike the last time we had this when the wine was more tired and not as exciting. One of the best Coche I've ever had. And tonight it's the just first of some great whites... (Bday 3 of 13)

Aug 2nd, 2020Tasted blind. Medium gold. Flinty nose. Notes of Meyer lemon, pit fruit, wet stones. High pitched. Was told this was recently opened and at first this is on the fruity side and not showing much acidity and power. Guessed a non-Chardonnay grape. With ~2 hours of air this blossomed to show its pedigree. Great juice. Went back to this several times, it was the first empty of tasting.

Aug 1st, 2019Deep straw and medium gold color. Brooding look compared to the other whites. Lemon, baked apples, stone and ripe apricot notes. Had a slight cork taint that came and went over 8+ hours of sips, which detracted from the experience a bit. But the richness and huge mouth feel of this wine was undeniable. From the Don Stott auction. Feeling Cochey.
