Killer nose of lime zest. Minerals. Lime gum drop. Sappy lemon zest. Hint of discreet oak. Loads of spice and rocks. Palate is energetic and fresh with lovely spring mint, sappy lemon, clean flavors of green apple skins and a long finish. Balanced and very pure. Amazingly clean. Lovely acidity and length. So so good.

Burgundian bargain alert. Nicely polished Aligote, all burnished wood and lemon kurd. Masquerades as a high toned Chardonnay. White flower & subtly pickled yellow plum notes. Village Wine imports at 14$.

On the nose, a lovely mix of apples, lemon, and a bit of saltiness.
On the palate, it was much less subtle, with ripe lemon, lemon zest, ripe apples, and wet stones. There was a distinct creaminess to the palate, but the acidity balanced it out well. Dangerously drinkable.
Overall, at about $22, it’s a delicious everyday wine that I look forward to tasting again with some seafood. It is somewhat straightforward, but it is also balanced and tasty...

this might be my first Aligote. round and waxy, a little fuller bodied. orange peel, heavy grapefruit, citrus, mineral. extremely high acid. some of the citrus is really underripe or extra tart. also getting a lot of salty character. interesting wine , will let it evolve over a few hours

On the palate this is crystal clear, linear, bone dry, with lemony acidity and a mineral finish that just doesn’t finish. Almost slightly tannic. This drinks like a dream!An amazing discovery!
