Vieilles Vignes Les Beaux Monts Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Quite dark and brooding. Dark plum with black cherry. Some Asian spice and a hint of tart tanging. Good tension. Delicious.

Progressed in its life and pretty darn beautiful

One of a flight of five 2009 Premier Cru Vosne Romanee .Terroir and winemaking do make a difference. Hard to choose but definite differences . All fine wines. And all from just two vineyards.

Big expressive nose of dark perfumed fruit. Expansive and structured on palate. Delicious

Charming floral nose apropos of VR: white lilies, violets. Blackberries and brambly earth. Sadly, it is one of those wines that is more charming to smell than to drink but nothing technically at fault with the taste at all. @ Chambers

My contribution only showed its stuff after about twenty minutes. Tea shop, clove, bright raspberry, play dough. Wow finish!
