Brett city at first, but blew off with time and became more floral, herbal and pleasant. Smoked cherry, concentrated dark fruit, black pepper, green bell pepper, graphite, tobacco. Nice acidity. Supple, slightly chalky tannins.
Enjoyed with ash rind goat cheese from the Loire, homemade mushroom pate and thin mints. Believe it or not, the final pairing actually worked.

Сухая чёрная смородина, молодая вишня, свекла, легкий овощной тон, мел, чёрный перец горошком, графит, едва ощутимый след марганцовки. Среднее тело с пульсирующей кислотностью и аккуратными танинами. Ещё очень молодо и первично, концентрированно, с хорошими глубиной и структурой, но пока без элегантности, напряжённо и немного на нервах. С потенциалом. Стоит дать подышать. Интересно перепробовать через несколько лет.

Nose is mostly reduction on open. A full bodied take on Cab Franc, plenty of cool blue fruit to accent the tart cherry notes. Structured, but opens up pretty quickly. Decant it ahead of time to deal with that reductive nose.

Black pepper, blackberries, plums, oak, baking spices, pencil lead and neatness. Med+ body, acidity and tannin. Long finish. This is just a baby!

Stinky but delicious. Definitely a bigger chinon than most. Can't wait to see how it develops.....
