A fab Volnay. Medium bodied with a super rich mouthfeel and med + sugar, med+ acidity and a long finish. Flavors of red/blue fruit, colaish, damp leaves and mint/thyme. Glantenay is under the radar but with such finesse.

This requires a bit more cellar time. The wine showed hints of what it may become after a double decant and a few hours of air. Quite a fair amount of acidity. Nice red fruit and earthy notes throughout. No green notes to this wine.

Half decent volnay, quite floral and pretty but without the clarity in nose or palate of a finer one, this is however maturing and near ready to drink, nice creaminess to the fruit and soy component from evolution. This is however more at the level of village than a top prem cru.

This 2008 will still benefit from more time in the cellar. Blossomed on the second evening when paired with an apple glazed pork tenderloin.

Powerful and rich, a serious wine which had us all thinking new world. Gripping tannins and a great finish was a delight

Needed a while to open up but once it did it was delicious. Needs a few more years. Opens up with food.
