Les Favières Marsannay Chardonnay Musqué

Not as wow as the 2014 I opened in November but still excellent

Fantastic, classically styled burg. Had some matchstick réduction that took a vigorous shake to help blow off, and underneath was pure, firm, racy lemon/mineral Chardonnay goodness. This could use a few years for further development.

Tropical nose, continental balance. Cool stuff

Blunt now but should be great in 5 years.

Tasted a bit prematurely matured.

I had this yesterday and it had been opened for a few weeks. Opened a fresh bottle today. Pineapple on the front side with pears and apples coming up behind. Interesting and tasty.

Super fresh, tart green apple and pear. Minerality and exceptionality.

Very nice. Maybe some ripe pineapple. Not a huge white wine drinker but this one snagged me. Would be good for sitting outside of a fairly warm day or inside on a chilly Monday reading a book

Good for apéritif, hits right compromise between being interesting but to not too overpowering.

Good value.
