On the palate this is fine but the nose is - well there’s not much there. And then it manages to be over extracted while underripe, a missed opportunity for something fresher and more quaffable I’d say.

Cherries, roses, damp soil, finish a bit clipped and astringent so needs food but overall very solid. I won’t even give it the backhanded “good for the category” compliment—it’s just good, no qualifier necessary. Who says you can’t age basic Burg?

Tasty, great deep red fruit, plenty of plum and dark layers, nicely balanced tannin and acid.

Black cherry fruit, touch of licorice, mid weight. Delicious and ready now or later.

Wonderful. Very pure. Sappy. Earth and red cherries. The cherry vividness is stunning. Gorgeous aromas. Elegant and juicy. So deep and pure. Palate has perfect blend of a little fruit and earth. Awesome.

Disappointing- not over the hill or oxidative, just kind of lifeless at 10 years. Dusty nose, not much fruit left or much in the way of mineral or tertiary character either. Decent amount of acidity and tannins remaining, just not much liveliness or finesse.

Tightened up in decanter; as fruit recedes the high malic characteristic of vintage is more prominent; may just be this bottle, but not as generous as last bottle in 2013.
