Fantastic showing of 2016 Clape, while of course very young, 2016 was plenty giving with time in the decanter with classic N. Rhône aromatics and most notably an incredibly elegant, silky texture. This is going to age beautifully.

The depth and complexity of this wine from “rustic” Cornas is full of blueberry, smoke, black pepper, great acid, and tannins, but not real gripper..super well balanced..

An intriguing wine with depth. Notes of black cherry and purple fruit awashed with a finish that does not relent. Violet and a slight pepper quality. Just hits the spot. Paired with a heavy stew.
