Domaine Armand Rousseau
Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir
Stunning. Opened 4 hours before drinking and it was so incredibly open, seamless and firing on all cylinders. I think the length of time it had to unfurl was the key to its amazing showing.

Oct 31st, 2020Very dark and intense. Coiled on the nose with black fruit. Stems and a hint of butterscotch. This is very contained and profound but not showing much just now. Clearly really quality on the fruit

Jul 1st, 2019One of my favorite vintages of Rousseau. While not quite the Chambertin, Beze or CSJ from this vintage, it's better than other vintages of those.

Jun 13th, 2017Nice wine which picked up considerable weight in the glass. Easy to take down at the right price....

Nov 3rd, 2016Amazingly fresh for a 1988 with mulled cherry, texture, spice, truffle and a succulent sweetness on the finish.

Oct 27th, 2016Hitting all kinds of spots with plenty of life ahead....I love his wines because he is able to give a great glass now while making wines that can truly go the distance. Big fan.
