Bright and intense. More mature. Pure and long. Really savory and deep fruit. Gorgeous

Rich and plummy on the nose. Lush and intense with soft notes of roses and violets. On the palate smooth and rich. Oak still present but good acidity and balance with time this should be gorgeous.

Drinking beautifully. Very concentrated and well structured. Just a hint of tertiary. Nice!

Could not resist opening a second bottle. Drinks beautifully now, all fruit (raspberries, plums, cherries) with complex and meaty finish. All about power for now but will be tremendous in 10 years. At this rate I won’t have any left.

Tasted blind. Dark purple with tawny rims. Powerful sharp nose. Notes of black fruit, pepper, rhubarb, dark spice and dark earth. Has that tinny mouth feel that I’ve associated with 96s before. I find this young and harsh, with a massive core of fruit hidden underneath. The profile implies to me it’s Vogue and I throw out a 99 Musigny guess. Others liked this wine more than me. I question if the fruit can ever balance with the in-your-face acidity and structure. Some 96s have stated to soften and move into a drinking window. For me, not this one yet.

Great, satiny, velvety, lots of dark red fruit and a bit of leather. Wait to drink 4 to 5 years. Approachable but a bit of a crime.

Delicate sour berries, a bit restrained. Delicious, but looks like will get better

Still flexing very young muscle but elegance is peaking through.
