Too early but what they hey. Has just a bit of cinnamon peaking through. Will be fun to see how this ages.

Out of the case this was the best btl. Delicious classic aged NSG. Brick colour, nose of spices, balsam. Great silky, creamy on the palate, fresh and great weight.

Tell me you’re from Louisiana without saying you’re from Louisiana —> Christmas Gumbo.

Not a textbook pairing, but this actually worked. Seafood gumbo for the win along with a nice Burgundy Pinot. Textbook probably would have been Gewurtztraminer or off-dry Riesling, but I picked this one. More earth than fruit. Medium body. Beautiful balance and acidity. Classic Nuits.

Merry Everything!

Really liked it a lot. Would like more to hold for a few years.

This 2006, drunk in 2017, is really interesting and perfect for me personally. On the nose it's first violets and deep red fruits and immediately tastes of light leather with a delicate earth balance. As it opens up you get more of the tanins on the nose rather than just the palate. Once open the flavor is of light earth with a bit of leather on the end and I honestly tasted a bit of sweet corn at one point. So interesting!! Highly recommend!!

The 95 tasted 3 days after the 92 shows the power, finesse and elegance of the vintage. It still holds a deep amazing aromatic profile and a great textured palate
