The perfume Reminds me of Chambolle! 2014 was perhaps a better year for Cote Chalonnaise than it was for the Côte d'Or. This Mercurey easily competes with the village level and premier cru pinot Noirs from the Côte d'Or.

Wow this was delicious perfect for a late winter Sunday night meal of roasted chicken with an orange and Bayleaf sauce over Carolina gold rice ❤️❤️ The nose on this wine was amazing: all red fruit and prettiness and the palate followed through just the same... hard to not guzzle 😂

The masculine muscular wine. Tight but lots of potential.

Cherries. Bright, full body. Bit spritzy. Bitter balance.

Gave this a more serious try this time, decanted 1 hour, but still came up short. Decent food wine, fresh fruit, elegantly light burgh style, but a bit acidic late and underwhelming.

Fantastic nose. Bam!
Unfortunately needs a bit more acid. Grandmaster behind this one. Great value for price point but just missing a little something. Still happy to drink it. Will give it some time.
