Deep yellow in color with a golden hue.
Strong nose of ripe apples and oak notes.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with pears, apples, peaches, citrus, oak, light honey, vanilla, Indian spices, sea salt, light earth and herbs.
Long finish with white pepper and spices.
This 4 year old Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County is drinking beautifully. Rich and extracted. Fruit forward, elegant and complex. Spicy with a nice mouthfeel.
Wine Spectator 93 points. Robert Parker 98 points.
Definitely not your typical California Chardonnay, but rather more in the style of a white Sin Qua Non.
Delicious by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
$25.

The 2023 Chardonnay (Santa Barbara County) is a total stunner. Bright, aromatic and vibrant, the 2023 is lights-out, brilliantly marrying fruit intensity and energy. Apricot, mint and white flowers abound. This is a stunning wine for the price and for its production of around 40,000 cases. $23.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2024)

Dominant flavor of lime may be more lime leaf than juice

Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and citrus fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes. On the palate apple, peach & melon with lime citrus zest and toasty notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice lively acidity, ending with herb, citrus and mineral character.

This is a great value Chardonnay with crisp acidity, medium body and terrific balance between lemon and apple fruit and flinty minerality. Creamy texture without being overdone, long finish.

Jul 3rd, 2022A sunbeam in a glass — peach, citrus, and a whisper of mango drift over crisp minerality, all tied together with the faintest touch of oak. It’s so balanced and layered I almost feel unworthy of drinking it. This wine carries itself like someone twice its age: wise, graceful, and self-assured, yet still somehow able to charm and energize a teenager, hence why i seem to like it. I give myself another 10 years before i can fully appreciate this.
