A powerful Syrah in its youth, the Winds of Change 2023 (released March ‘25) opens with a dusty nose full of minerals, rose and kirsch. On the palate, its drying tannins are at the forefront now, adding to the dusty feel, but there is a nice peppery bite, dark cherries and tar. It felt a bit reserved and perhaps a few more years in bottle will mellow the tannins and let the rest shine.

The ‘22 Winds of Change has a quiet nose with just hints of plum and earth emanating from the glass. It’s medium-bodied and subtle in these early days with mellow tannins wrapped around berry pie and underbrush. All in, a very drinkable syrah with potential for more complexity.

Juicy dark fruit, smoke, and tapanade, lively with soft, sticky tannin. Super gluggable.

Delectable, this is the Winds of Change from Desire Lines.
Syrah blend, but with an unusual cherry profile. Very good and approachable now.
