Estate Bottled Russian River Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

A ladder of Cabs from five decades, 1979-2019. This was our favorite.

This was the winner for the group, my #2. Distinct berry notes. From Sonoma Pinot country but this Vineyard gets a lot of sun and makes a great cab - some even like it more than the Pinots...

Very primary. Loads of cassis, oak spice, vanilla, graham cracker and pipe tobacco. Some resinous herb quality on the nose. High alcohol and heavy oak are on full display.

Briny black olives, leather, whiffs of jalapeno. Black plum and dust. Marvelous. From magnum.

Holding up pretty well, but a little too much bell pepper for me.

Excellent cab and loaded with dark berries some spice and cedar. It just seemed savory and smooth from start to finish.

Always great wine with a lot of dark fruits and a mile long finish
