2013 Tears of Christ, from the base of Mt Vesuvius, the €5 supermarket version. I think it missed the mark

A bit simple. Aromas of smokey minerals and grilled peaches with background of apples and white grape juice. Some floral elements but subdued. Easy to drink but by no means a bargain for the quality.

Not one of my favorite wines- bitter on the palette, lacking power and complexity on the nose. Skip this one.

The common saying is "if (insert enemy's name) was on fire I wouldn't piss on them to put them out. If my enemy was on fire I would douse them with this wine because it's worse than piss and being on fire!

Bright fruit on the front end and even a slight tingle, gorgeously followed by a spicy and earthy undertone. Very satisfying depth. Nice accompaniment to marinated London broil.

Best drank young and well chilled. This vintage now past its best but very drinkable in previous years.

Best wine that we found in Sorrento, Italy at a little place called "the Garden"
